The wargames show season is well under way here in the UK and Triples in Sheffield being and hour and half away was the second we have been to this year, the first being the excellent Vapnartak in York.
It is a few years since I have been to Triples and the venue is now a large sports hall with plenty of room to walk around. This makes a big change to wargames shows as they are normally crammed in to breaking point.
We went on the Sunday of this two day event and we had an excellent time walking round and having a good look at all the stands and games without being knocked out of the way by other collectors with lead fever.
We felt a little sorry for the few traders who were for some reason in the second, smaller room. I think there was plenty of room to get them all in the one big main hall.
Other than this minor point the rest of the show was very enjoyable and most of the traders were in high spirits and very chatty. A special mention has to go to the Dark Ops crew who were great along with Ragnarok Games, Ainsty Castings, Dixon Miniatures & Wargames Foundry.
I will defiantly have this on my to-do list for next year, (more to follow).
